Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our team in a chemical production facility in Widnes, Cheshire.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a multi-discipline team that operates and maintains our chemical production facility. As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will provide E&I support for the production department, working on shift patterns including 4 on 6 off and 4 on 4 off x 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned maintenance and overhaul of plant equipment and site facilities.
  • Undertake reactive repair of plant equipment and site facilities.
  • Carry out E&I testing, inspection, calibration, and reporting of plant condition.
  • Operate within the site maintenance team, communicating with other staff of relevant groups to determine task needs, priorities, and time frames.
  • Use CMMS to record task history and brief other maintenance staff for job continuity.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 E&I qualification.
  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC (step7/TIA portal) and industrial communications.
  • Fault Finding & Planned Maintenance skills.
  • Sound computer literacy skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is £50,508, inclusive of shift allowance and committed hours payment.
