The role of a Civil Engineer for Water Projects is crucial in developing and implementing sustainable drainage strategies for various projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments. This position requires strong CAD skills, with experience in highways drainage or the design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) being highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.

In this role, you will play a key part in project delivery and management, ensuring new commissions are delivered to the highest possible standard. You will work on the design and modelling of water designs, SuDS designs, and hydraulic models, conduct site assessments to evaluate existing drainage conditions, and identify opportunities for SuDS implementation. Your expertise will also be required to produce drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D, as well as prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for SuDS components, detailing design calculations and construction requirements.

This position would suit someone who has:

  • Experience in highways drainage or in the design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Strong CAD skills, with Civils 3D experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

The salary for this position will depend on experience, but we are recruiting for several Water Engineers at varying stages of their career. With a competitive salary range expected to be between £40,000-£60,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in the water sector.
