An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on and commercially astute Financial Director to join our international TV & Film group. This role will be responsible for managing the finance team and assisting in the continued growth of the company.

The successful candidate will be working closely with senior business figures and will play a pivotal part in driving the company forward. This is a business-facing role that will work with all areas of the business, including production, legal, and COO.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Full responsibility for the monthly management reporting - P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis
  • Responsibility for annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting
  • Main point of contact between productions and finance
  • Responsible for the administration of the Tax Credit claims
  • Primary contact for external audit and responsibility for filing of statutory accounts
  • Responsible for quarterly VAT returns
  • Oversee administration of greenlight process for new productions.
  • Financial controls/systems - create and administer controls of business and ensure adhered to
  • Identifying any new system needs within production flow
  • Business partnering - with COO, Legal, Production teams
  • Management the finance and production accounting team
  • Build a business awareness of upcoming production and development slate
  • Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the senior business figures

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of month-end, financial reporting and ideally some business partnering in a TV/Film Production or related Entertainment industry. The ability to quickly establish credibility with production teams and take a bigger picture view whilst keeping a tight reign on the financials is paramount.
