About the Role
St Helena Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Single Point Registered Nurse. As a key member of our hospice care team, you will provide high-quality, specialist palliative care to patients and their families, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist palliative care to patients and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive service, including day-to-day work tasks and directing less experienced colleagues.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Triage calls and provide advice and support to patients and their families, working closely with our community and primary care colleagues.
- Provide rapid response visits to patients in crisis, ensuring timely and effective support.
Person Specification
- Qualified Registered Nurse with a strong background in palliative care.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
