About the Company:
A well-established business in Tameside is seeking a Junior level Commercial Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This role is a key position within the finance FP&A team, and the company values the work of the FP&A team, offering great exposure and development opportunities.
We are looking for someone with Finance Analyst experience who will support the FP&A team and collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and enable them to make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Finance Analyst and excellent communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed financial analysis across various areas, including costs, variances, and profit.
- Maintain financial models and forecast revenues, expenses, and other metrics.
- Support various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Ops, to provide financial guidance.
- Produce analysis on product margins, stock, and discrepancies.
- Evaluate the viability of new ideas, CAPEX investment, and projects.
- Ongoing maintenance of processes with the IT team to ensure best practice and optimize efficiency.
- Support the implementation and development of new systems and tools.
- Any ad-hoc reporting as required.
Requirements:
- Experienced as a Finance Analyst 1-2 years plus in the role or highly experienced.
- CIMA/ACCA early stage or part-qualified and looking to progress your studies.
- Experience in a multi-site set up, stock-based industry would be highly beneficial.
- Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and the Office package.
- Experience using Qlik Sense and Power Query would be beneficial.
- Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines.
- Essential to have a common sense approach to dealing with problems.
- Enthusiastic attitude to resolving issues.
- Ability to clearly express the issue and proposed solution when required in writing or verbally.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
