About the Role

As a Revenue Accountant at Global Accounting Network, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Group Finance Director in driving revenue growth and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

With a strong focus on commercial awareness and analytical skills, you will work closely with sales and operations teams to enhance revenue and drive performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a stable and growing business with a fast-paced PE-backed environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a revenue-focused role, strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of IFRS15 revenue recognition. They will also possess great communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong proficiency in accounting software including Excel.

Job Description
  • Responsibility for deferred and accrued income
  • Customer invoicing (in liaison with sales operations)
  • Supporting the Receivables Accountant to optimise cash collections
  • Weekly project reviews with the project managers
  • Providing audit support
  • Preparing IFRS15 revenue recognition templates for new customer contracts
  • Account reconciliations
  • Month-end close including journal entries and review of revenue accounts
  • Compliance with internal controls and company policies and process improvements
  • Collaborating with other teams including sales, finance and operations
  • System management for revenue tracking and reporting
  • Maintaining the revenue forecast
  • Providing profitability analysis
  • Supporting with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis
  • Highlighting variances, risks and opportunities for improvement to financial results
