Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of an efficient radiology service, ensuring timely and accurate imaging results.
  • Engage with a transformational leadership approach, supporting the development of our radiography team.
  • Work as part of a professional radiography team, providing a high-quality diagnostic service to patients.
  • Maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the imaging process.
  • Develop and improve professional expertise through continuous professional development (CPD), staying up-to-date with the latest imaging techniques and technologies.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior colleagues and student radiographers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) Radiography, DCR (D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of general x-ray techniques, with experience of working unsupervised out of hours.
  • Experience of training staff and students, with a strong understanding of clinical governance issues related to patient care.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students, more junior staff, and new members of staff, with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
