Tree Surgeon Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Climber to join our team at Barkland Tree Specialists. As a Lead Climber, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tree works, including large fells, reductions, hedge trimming, pollarding, grinding, and Mewp work.

You will be in charge of ensuring the safety of yourself and your team, and will be required to have a clean full driving licence. NPTC or equivalent tickets relevant to your role will be essential. Diplomas and other more advanced training are an advantage.

We are looking for a Second Climber to join our team at Barkland Tree Specialists. As a Second Climber, you will be required to undertake a variety of tree works, including fells, reductions, hedge trimming, and pollarding.

You will be required to be competent at ground-based rigging operations, and will need to have a solid foundation in tree climbing technique. 2+ years climbing experience is required, and you will be expected to be able to carry out medium-sized reductions and takedowns safely and effectively.
