Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to serve as the first point of contact for all environmental matters and provide support to the management team in conducting environmental assessments in accordance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Support: Provide proactive support to the Environmental Management system for the site, ensuring its effective implementation and maintenance.
  • Driving Environmental Initiatives: Develop and drive new environmental initiatives to maintain and enhance the site's environmental function.
  • Accident Investigation: Assist in the completion of accident investigations and review of risk assessments following accidents or incidents.
  • Environmental Issue Resolution: Conduct thorough investigations into environmental issues occurring on-site or reported to the site.
  • Reporting and Recording: Assist the Ops Manager/Site Director in ensuring accurate reporting and recording of environmental issues, reports, and complaints.
  • Internal Audits: Carry out internal environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Awareness Promotion: Proactively promote awareness of environmental issues throughout the site.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Complete reports for the site leadership team regarding key environmental metrics.
  • Second Nature Projects: Serve as the point of contact for specific Second Nature projects (Food Waste Reduction / Plastic Recycling).

    Working Hours

    This role operates from Monday to Friday, offering a standard working schedule.

    Salary Information

    The estimated annual salary for this position is £35,000-£40,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
