Tax Manager Role in Kent

TPF Recruitment is assisting a reputable accountancy practice in Tenterden, Kent, seeking a Personal Tax Client Manager to join their tax team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work for a regional accountancy practice with significant exposure to compliance and advisory tasks.

The primary focus will be on private client tax matters such as personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax, and trusts. You will likely interact with other taxes like corporate tax and VAT due to the nature of clients.

You will work closely with partners on advisory and project work while overseeing junior staff members' compliance work. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
  • Handling a mixed compliance and advisory workload
  • Supporting junior staff members with their work and reviewing it
  • Providing tax advice and strategic planning to partners
  • Promoting the growth and development of the tax department

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Accredited or chartered tax professional (ACCA, ATT, CTA) or equivalent by experience
  • Motivated and adaptable to remote work
  • Confident communication of tax rules and implications to clients in writing
