We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Development Apprentice. As a key member of our Engineering community, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining real-world applications that will be used by people across the UK.
About the Role
This is a permanent position with a starting salary of £29,500, as well as great benefits and flexible working. You will be part of the UK's largest government department and will have access to learning, mentoring, and support from our expert team.
What You'll Do
- Work on real-world projects, developing and maintaining software applications
- Collaborate with our expert team to design and implement new features and solutions
- Learn and develop your skills in software engineering, including coding, testing, and deployment
- Study towards gaining a Level 4 engineering apprenticeship qualification via Makers Academy
Requirements
- You must hold a current United Kingdom (UK) or EAA Passport, and NI number
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and not be in full-time education at the time the apprenticeship starts
- You must either hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or complete and pass a functional skills test if you don't have these GCSEs
