Job Overview

As a seasoned culinary professional, you will oversee the entire food and beverage operation at Sevenoaks School, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards. Your expertise in large-scale cooking, menu development, and team management will be instrumental in driving success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and waste reduction initiatives to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the school administration to ensure catering services meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement allergen control measures and ensure accurate labeling of food products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to Sodexo's high standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in large-scale cooking, preferably in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a valid certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
