Purpose:

Our Team Leaders play a crucial role in the Production and Warehouse areas. They lead from the front, taking ownership of their shift and people. They ensure their team is set up for the day and the necessary support is in place.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan people and materials to effectively meet daily targets
  • Take a supervisory role of the shift's operational structures, allocating duties based on skills and experience
  • Be responsible and accountable for daily KPIs, and know when to escalate
  • Support communications between Production and other departments
  • Monitor and support ongoing development of Operatives, promoting training pathways and encouraging the advancement of knowledge amongst operatives
  • Uphold food safety, health & safety, and quality standards, holding others accountable for their actions and promoting best practice
  • Lead people management of the team, including recruitment, absence management, workload allocation, and timesheet management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A resolution-focused mindset
  • People management experience is essential
  • Food production experience is essential
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Experience of working with the LEAN framework is desirable
