Noble Recruiting Limited is seeking a highly skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team in Billericay, Essex.
About the Role:This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. As a Customs Clearance Specialist, you will be responsible for arranging import clearances for key clients, processing customs clearances accurately and compliantly within HMRC's guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and complete entries using CDS, with experience in either deep sea ocean freight clearances or European road freight clearances.
- Navigate HMRC's online tariffs and have a good understanding of customs commodity codes and procedures.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to obtain and provide required information.
- Raise invoices, including duty/VAT invoices, and offer manual calculations of taxes to customers.
- Proven track record of at least two years working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
- Strong knowledge of FTA, origin, and preference.
- Experience with using CNS and Destin8, with CCS-UK experience being a plus.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Excellent maths and English skills.
