Company Accountant Position at Trinity Estates

Location: Hybrid/Hemel Hempstead

Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:15 Monday - Friday

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

Job Responsibilities:

The Company Accountant is responsible for maintaining the individual financial books and records and related financial matters of all Trinity Group and related companies. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Resource planning and allocation, including assistance in the recruitment process across the team.
  2. Ensuring the timely processing, maintenance, and recording of all daybooks and ledgers, including sales/purchase invoices, vouchers, expenses, and receipts.
  3. Responsibility for ensuring the quality, integrity, and hygiene of data within the proprietary accounting software and other system(s) at all times.
  4. Responsible for implementing, updating, and performing suitable reviews, checks, and controls as required to deliver robust Accounts and protect the business.
  5. Preparation of (monthly) management accounts and reporting.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Possess (or part-qualified) a professional Accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or equivalent).
  2. Sound book-keeping knowledge with a good understanding of accounting principles and legal/regulatory frameworks, with strong reconciliation and query resolution skills.
  3. Client-focused, flexible, organised, self-motivated, with the ability to use your own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
  4. An excellent communicator and highly computer literate.
