Maintenance Technician - Electrical Engineering

As a Maintenance Technician - Electrical Engineering at the Greencore Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining our plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in electrical and mechanical fault finding to join our team in North West London.

About the Role

You will work closely with an Engineering Supervisor, Engineer and 2 Asset Care Technicians to carry out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment. You will also respond to internal customer needs to maximise production time according to given priorities.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and improve productivity
  • Conducting regular inspections and identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and workflow
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and performing audits as required
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and procedures
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An apprentice trained engineer with a formal engineering qualification
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing/FMCG
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
