About the Role

Murphy is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend team safety briefings and work closely with mentors to carry out repair and maintenance tasks on all types of plant and equipment.
  • Complete point of work risk assessments and job card information electronically using tablets.
  • Order and fit parts to plant equipment, as well as perform basic routine maintenance on all types of plant equipment.
  • Use the latest diagnostic equipment to diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in the workshop area.
  • Use and store COSHH substances safely.
  • Complete all college coursework and online assessment requirements.

About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship course covers all the basic principles needed to become a plant mechanic. You will learn how to service and repair machines and equipment, including replacing parts and checking and calibrating instruments.
