Job Title: SENCO / ALNCO

Excell Supply is seeking an experienced and motivated SENCO / ALNCO to provide high-quality, individualized learning programmes for students with additional needs.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that students with additional learning needs receive the appropriate support and are provided with personalized learning programmes. This non-teaching role centres on staff management, leadership, and close collaboration with various stakeholders to create a thriving inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to grow and excel.
  • Developing and overseeing individualized support and learning programmes for students with SEND, ensuring these plans meet each student's unique needs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students with SEND, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Working closely with students, parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and collaborative support is provided.
  • Staying informed about current SEND legislation and best practices, ensuring the college remains compliant and at the forefront of inclusive education.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a SENCO or similar role within an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage individualized support and learning programmes.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
