Mechanical Engineering Technician

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Minstrell Engineering. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Automated Distribution Centre.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake day-to-day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities and improvement works on mechanical handling equipment such as conveyor networks, lifts, cranes, belts, etc.
- React to equipment breakdowns, locate faults, analyse issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with other departments to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, diagnose equipment breakdowns, and action repairs.
**Requirements:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual with a formal qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering. You should have strong electrical experience, preferably within a FMCG or Material Handling environment. Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance is essential, as well as good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
**Salary and Benefits:**
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £35,000 per annum, which is competitive for this role in Tamworth. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career progression.
