About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art automated fulfilment centre in Purfleet. As an integral part of our engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing equipment breakdowns, and resolving issues in a timely manner. You'll work closely with our engineering team to analyse failures and find solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned and reactive maintenance within our automated fulfilment centre
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs
  • Support the engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance
Requirements
  • Formal engineering qualification, along with hands-on experience
  • Good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, including PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems
  • Organised and meticulous, with great analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Comfortable working safely at height and willing to work a 24-hour shift pattern
