About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced and qualified Solicitor to join our team as a Salaried Partner and Head of Department in London. This is a unique opportunity to take on a challenging role with a reputable law firm.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Provide high-quality legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand risks and timeframes.
- Take responsibility for cases from start to finish, keeping up-to-date with legal developments that may affect casework.
- Handle confidential or sensitive information professionally, managing diaries, schedules, and attending meetings as required.
- Deal effectively with external agencies linked to caseloads, managing own time and workload, and providing help to others when needed.
- Keep colleagues informed of progress, ensuring regular reports are provided as required.
- Maintain files to the highest standard, completing paperwork accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all firm policies and procedures, using only standard procedures and precedents.
- Sustain close working relationships with clients, understanding and meeting their relevant needs.
- Work to develop long-term business relationships, anticipating client needs to add value.
- Keep informed of services provided throughout the firm, referring clients to specialist departments as necessary.
- Meet the firm's target for fee-earning, assisting colleagues to achieve goals.
- Accurately record chargeable time on the firm's case management system.
Person Specification
">- A qualified, experienced Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate.
- Specialist knowledge relevant to the designated legal department.
- Experience in managing a department and demanding caseload, to a reasonable agreed capacity.
- Ability to draft clear and succinct legal documents.
- Ability to communicate clearly to clients in person and by other means of communication.
- Client Focus: Desire to delight clients by concentrating on discovering, understanding, and satisfying needs.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding the importance of financial success and willingness/ability to act in its interest.
- Planning and Organising: Identifying department objectives, planning actions, allocating tasks, and monitoring progress.
- Team-working: Managing the department in a complementary fashion, which produces an holistic solution.
- Communication: Receiving, interpreting, and imparting information and ideas to a wide range of people.
Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
