About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our UK Wastewater Services team as a Workshop Engineer at our Portland branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform workshop repairs and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed within agreed time and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular inspections and examinations of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment, promoting adherence to risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to new engineers within the workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff and trades to achieve team objectives.
Requirements
  • Current valid driving license.
  • CSCS card.
  • Previous engineering or electrical qualifications, including welding.
  • Forklift experience and license.
  • Knowledge of the water industry and inlet/water equipment (desirable).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
