Behaviour Interventionist

We are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Specialist to work in a SEMH school in Shrewsbury.

This role involves providing behaviour support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working closely with teachers to develop tailored support plans and implementing strategies to enhance student learning experiences.

About the School:

The school is a large SEMH school with 152 students, which recently received a 'Good' rating in its Ofsted inspection. The school is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where students develop into happy, confident individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver behaviour support to students with SEMH needs
• Develop and implement individualised support plans
• Work collaboratively with teachers to enhance student learning experiences

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEMH students
• Strong knowledge of SEND and SEMH principles
• Team Teach/Positive Handling/De-escalation Training desirable
