About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Team Leader to join our team at Emmetts Gardens. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of our property retail operation, ensuring it is commercially successful and consistently exceeds our visitors' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor stock and merchandise products to achieve stretching financial targets, leading by example when it comes to maximising our profitability and income.
  • Supervise paid and voluntary retail staff, working effectively alongside colleagues elsewhere in the property to deliver great service to visitors, promoting and enhancing the property's sense of place.
  • Support the development and implementation of retail strategies, ensuring alignment with the National Trust's overall goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Able to demonstrate strong customer service ethos
  • Experience of working in a retail environment, including selling and merchandising skills
  • Strong people skills, enabling good relationships
  • Knowledge of retail best practice, including selling and merchandising skills and effective space management
