Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with various tasks, including credit control, ledger maintenance, and accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and send out remittances in a timely manner
  • Manage ledger ownership and maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Perform credit control tasks, including proactive credit control via email and telephone
  • Deal with account queries and resolve any issues in a professional manner
  • Allocate cash and process VAT payments
  • Process credit notes and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of accounts or a similar role
  • Previous experience with SAGE accounting software
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to ensure high-quality work
  • Immediate availability or short notice
