Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Principal Contractor in the Energy from Waste sector to recruit a Remeasurement Quantity Surveyor for a 24-month contract at its West Midlands site.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure and evaluate changes from revised drawings and site inspections at regular intervals in accordance with contractual measurement rules and rates.
- Develop and issue accurate cost reports, reflecting the financial position of each package and forecast commercial status and cash flow.
- Participate in or run regular technical and commercial site meetings, issue minutes of meeting.
- Document commercial aspects of any change/deviation/claim in PIRS, working collaboratively with the technical work package holder, project procurement, scheduling, and site management.
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation measures in consultation with the work package holders.
- Responsible for claim management for designated subcontract packages, establish a strategy of dealing with claims, and collate necessary supporting documentation.
- Lead subcontract commercial negotiations and account meetings, including preparation of subcontract final accounts.
- Carry out procurement of minor works/finishing works packages with support and input from head office personnel.
- Provide return of experience per contract package through ongoing feedback to head office and final account close-out reports.
Contract Duration: 24 months
