We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Engineering team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design services to support our turnkey and engineering services contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience in designing and coordinating structural design documents and drawings for water treatment and sewage treatment plants. You will work closely with our Structures Lead and other team members to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards, taking into account health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Production of structural design calculations for all aspects of water treatment and sewage treatment plants, including new build and modifications to existing plants.
- Review of structural content of construction drawings/models.
- Review of subcontract design proposals.
- Ensuring all work is considered for buildability, standardization, and DfMA, as well as ensuring safety on site in compliance with CDM regulations.
- Reinforced concrete and steelwork design to all relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Coordination and liaison within a multi-discipline organization, including construction oversight and site support.
- Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the discipline.
- Resource planning and responsibility for project delivery within budget and programme.
- Coordination of designs with other disciplines and use of resources, both internal and external.
- Provide support to civil design staff.
- Provide support to help develop junior staff.
- Ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
- Assist in improving processes and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with our extended team in Pune, India.
