About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Excellence Specialist to join our team at Leidos, a leading provider of innovative technology and solutions for government agencies. This exciting opportunity will see you play a critical role in delivering exceptional procurement services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide expert commercial support and advice to both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring all procurement activities meet the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance.
  • To develop and implement category strategies that fully satisfy LSL requirements, driving best value for money and continuous improvement.
  • To draft high-quality ITTs/ITNs, contracts, and other procurement documents that drive best practice and focus on delivery, timeliness, and quality.
  • To negotiate contractual terms, conditions, and prices within approved delegations, aiming to deliver against the Benefits Realisation Plan.
  • To maintain professional standards and provide commercial support and advice to staff, stakeholders, and customers, fostering strong working relationships where necessary.
  • To drive the SRM process for the GS and OLG areas, ensuring all contracts are effectively managed and strong relationships with contractors, customers, and colleagues are developed.
  • To set targets and objectives for the GS and OLG areas, collaborating with the Head of Delivery, and monitoring progress against these targets.
  • To ensure accurate, up-to-date, and timely submission of Commercial MI.
  • To actively contribute to the development of LSL tools, processes, and procedures, supporting Team Leidos transformation and continuous improvement.
  • To undergo Continuing Professional and Personal Development, ensuring currency with EU and Commercial Procurement practices and Regulations, and maximising contribution to the business.
  • To manage self and staff in accordance with Leidos HR policies, ensuring compliance with performance management requirements and timescales.
  • To mentor junior staff within LSL, facilitating their personal and professional growth.
  • To be trained in and observe Good Distribution Practice (GDP) obligations and best practices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of substantial Commercial Procurement experience or a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (or related field).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS).
  • Experience of public sector procurement, including application of EU Regulations.
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • APMP or other project management qualification.
