Job Description

ROLE: The Salesforce DevOps Engineer will be responsible for leading the development cycle and collaborating with the developers and SMEs during design, development, data migration, Salesforce environment management, and deployments. The role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and Apex code. Additionally, experience with Salesforce deployment tools, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and Gearset, is essential. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Salesforce, as well as experience with branching strategy tools, such as GitHub and Bitbucket.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and deployment: Develop and deploy technical solutions on the Salesforce Service Cloud platform.
  • Release management: Oversee the release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployments.
  • Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Version control: Manage and maintain version control systems, ensuring proper branching, merging, and tagging strategies are followed.
  • Collaboration: Integrate best practices from the Salesforce platform and DevOps methodologies to enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all development work.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and rectify technical issues discovered during operations.
  • Security: Maintain the security and integrity of the Salesforce Service Cloud platform.
