About the Role

We are seeking newly qualified midwives to join our Maternity team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women, birthing people, and families who choose our maternity provider.

This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate and develop your skills and knowledge on various aspects of midwifery practice, including antenatal ward, enhanced recovery, postnatal ward, and labour ward. Our preceptorship programme offers a supportive environment to help you grow professionally.

As a community midwife, you will have the chance to work with diverse populations, promoting health education and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a Degree/Diploma in Midwifery and be registered as a midwife with the NMC. Excellent communication and IT skills are also essential.

A willingness to complete our preceptorship programme is required, which will support your professional development and enhance your skills in providing exceptional patient care.

Benefits

As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on your experience. In addition, you will enjoy a generous benefits package, including opportunities for career progression and continuous professional development.
