Automation Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hounslow. As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance. You will also be responsible for providing effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches
  • Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing
  • Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders
  • Identify and work on Continuous Improvement projects, conception to implementation ownership, for machinery in the Hub/ Mail Centre
Requirements:
  • First-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, including but not limited to - Conveyor systems, infrastructure systems, and sorting machines
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • Fully qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering - or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driver's License
About You:

The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and be able to work as part of a team. You will be required to work on a variety of automation equipment, including Compact sequence Sorters, Culler facer Canceller, and Letter/ parcel sorting machines.
