Job Title: Country Park and Nature Conservation Manager

Location: Various parks and open spaces offices located in the London Borough of Redbridge

Salary: Up to £37,500 per annum

Type: Permanent - Full time

We are seeking an experienced and talented individual to lead our Country Park management and Nature Conservation Teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Nature Conservation, Ecology, Grounds Maintenance, and site Operations across Hainault Forest, Fairlop Waters, Claybury Woods, and Roding Valley.

Our country parks are located within the London Borough of Redbridge and offer a large open space for the community to enjoy nature and wildlife within the urban area. The successful candidate will join our dedicated Parks and Open Spaces team and contribute to protecting our award-winning locations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing country parks/countryside estates and excellent nature conservation skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the teams in our country parks, conservation areas, and nature reserves
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage projects and staff

Essential requirements include:

  • Certificates or relevant achievements in health and safety
  • Proven history of managing staff
  • Qualifications in land management/conservation
  • Strong understanding of Local Authority/Local Government
