Electrical Test Engineer

Role: Electrical Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out high quality examination of designated Electrical installations.
  2. Operate with clear customer focus and drive optimal service delivery.
  3. Ensure examinations and testing are carried out in set time scales in line with the planned schedule.
  4. Formulate, produce and distribute inspection reports in a professional manner within daily timescales and service standards.
  5. Ensure you work in line with Bureau Veritas Health and Safety process and systems.
  6. Safely carry out Electrical Safety Tests on Portable Appliances within our customers' premises in accordance with the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  7. Carry out inspections within agreed authorities and to inspection standards and record such activities in the methods set out by the company.
  8. Maintain an awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting Electrical Installations, and support change as required.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Electrical knowledge.
  2. Computer literate.
  3. City & Guilds Part 1, 2 and 3 OR Level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Diploma electrical installation.
  4. GCSE's in Maths and English (or equivalent).
