Job Title: Head of Supply Chain

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established Metals Fabrication business based in the UK, as they seek a Head of Supply Chain to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the purchasing, planning, and materials supply of this £50m+ T/O business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a long-term materials management strategy, guiding the daily activities of procurement, supplier development, inventory management, sales and operations planning, material master data, supplier quality, reporting, supply chain, and budgeting.
  • Lead the Supply Chain processes, applying best practice and continuous improvement to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage complex relationships with global suppliers, internal customers, external customers, peers, and managers.
  • Work closely with manufacturing on day-to-day operations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and new product introduction.
  • Responsible for relevant and timely communication/reports on a regular basis to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing the various aspects of Purchasing and Stores functions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of metals buying.
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing.
  • Experience in management supply chain or operational role (minimum 5 years), ideally in a similar role/environment.
