Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at GSL Education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students in need of support.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement strategies, interventions, and support plans to address challenging behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.

You will be responsible for providing targeted support to students, implementing and monitoring individual behaviour support plans, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies, and fostering positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour initiatives and provide feedback to teachers and parents on the progress of behaviour support plans.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • A strong knowledge of relevant behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
