Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the delivery of automation, refurbishment, and equipment upgrade projects at our 24/7 high-speed manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management, with experience in manufacturing, food, or pharmaceutical industries.

About the Role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the support and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required specification. This will involve working on manufacturing installations, refurbishments, and equipment upgrades, including batch mixers, filling lines, and warehouse equipment such as packaging machines, palletisers, and stretch wrappers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
  2. Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance to engineering standards and negotiate technical and commercial details.
  3. Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  5. Ensure safety protocols are followed and permit to work procedures are implemented.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree-level engineering qualification and relevant experience in manufacturing, food, or pharmaceutical industries. You should have a strong understanding of project management principles and be able to develop and implement standard engineering practices. Additionally, you should have experience in aspects of safety such as permit to work issuing and be able to collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance to engineering standards.
