Subcontract Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and self-starting Subcontract Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements, preparing solicitation packages, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and administering subcontracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements with subcontractors
- Prepare and issue solicitation packages to subcontractors
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals and conduct price and cost analysis
- Negotiate pricing and terms/conditions with subcontractors
- Administer subcontracts of various types and complexity
- Identify and resolve moderate issues and problems on assigned subcontracts
- Perform subcontract close-out activities
- Analyze risks and identify risk mitigation strategies
- Act as primary interface between subcontractors and programs being supported
- Regularly interact with program management, contracts, project control, finance, business development, and customers as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience with a degree or CIPS or alternative qualification
- Experience negotiating terms and conditions
- Successful track record of managing a variety of subcontract types and interfacing with internal customers, other functional support staff, and suppliers
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of English or Scottish Law
- Proficiency in word processing, electronic spreadsheet, analysis techniques, and workstation tools
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize work

- Must be a UK Citizen
- Clearance to Start SC
- Clearance for Role SC
