Subcontract Officer

Location: Whiteley, Hampshire, UK

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and self-starting Subcontract Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements, preparing solicitation packages, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and administering subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements with subcontractors
• Prepare and issue solicitation packages to subcontractors
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and conduct price and cost analysis
• Negotiate pricing and terms/conditions with subcontractors
• Administer subcontracts of various types and complexity
• Identify and resolve moderate issues and problems on assigned subcontracts
• Perform subcontract close-out activities
• Analyze risks and identify risk mitigation strategies
• Act as primary interface between subcontractors and programs being supported
• Regularly interact with program management, contracts, project control, finance, business development, and customers as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience with a degree or CIPS or alternative qualification
• Experience negotiating terms and conditions
• Successful track record of managing a variety of subcontract types and interfacing with internal customers, other functional support staff, and suppliers
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of English or Scottish Law
• Proficiency in word processing, electronic spreadsheet, analysis techniques, and workstation tools
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize work

• Clearance for Role SC
