Company Overview

Darktrace Ltd is a leader in the field of cyber security, with a dedicated R&D team in Cambridge creating and improving products behind the company's rapid growth. We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our Cloud Security Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing integrations with cloud providers and technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes to find out what assets clients have deployed in their cloud, how these are connected, and which are vulnerable to attack. This data is then used to help clients understand their cloud environment and how best to protect it.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace's services and offerings.
  2. Improving the performance and competencies of existing products and platforms.
  3. Investigating and furthering our unique methodology in defending against unknown cyber-attacks.

Requirements
  • Solution-focused mindset combined with analytical approach and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to program using Python and show an understanding of writing code in a production environment.
  • Capable of leading features from conception to deployment.
  • Successful prioritizing how work fits into wider team progress while solving immediate challenges.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making independent decisions, as well as working cooperatively within a team.
  • Knowledge or interest in cyber-security / malware forensics.
  • Experienced with statistical analysis of static or dynamic systems.
  • Familiar with Docker.
  • Knowledgeable about cloud computing environments.

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
