Job Title: Energetic Care Officer

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Care Officer to join our team at a residential primary school in Harlow. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, permanent position with an ASAP start. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children in our care. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and nurturing environment, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs
  • Implement and follow care plans and procedures
  • Supervise and engage children in recreational and educational activities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with children in a school/care/after school club setting
  • Understanding of child development and welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Basic computer skills
Working Conditions:

This role involves working with children and may require evening shifts. The work environment is a residential primary school setting, which may include outdoor activities. The successful applicant will receive the relevant training and support required to become part of our dedicated and innovative team.

The salary for this role is based on annualised hours for 52.14 weeks per year. Visits to the school are positively encouraged. Please note that you must have a full UK license and access to your own vehicle.
