Job Overview
At Home Instead, we're dedicated to providing non-medical services that enable clients to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. As a Care Professional, you'll play a crucial role in supporting clients in their homes, ensuring they receive personalized care and assistance tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks such as washing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting the dignity and privacy of each client.
- Meal Preparation: Assist clients with meal planning, preparation, taking into consideration their dietary preferences, restrictions, and nutritional needs.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take their medications as prescribed and assist with medication management as needed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules and dosage instructions.
- Companionship: Foster meaningful companionship with clients by engaging in conversation, participating in leisure activities, accompanying them on outings, and providing emotional support and encouragement.
- Household Support: Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living spaces, doing laundry, changing bedding, and organizing belongings to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Transportation: Provide transportation assistance to clients for errands, appointments, and social engagements, using your own vehicle.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care, report any changes in clients' conditions or needs, and address any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.

With the right support, people can stay in their own homes longer, and at Home Instead, that's what we're all about. We offer competitive pay rates ranging from £12.75 to £14.25 per hour, along with mileage reimbursement at 40p per mile. Additionally, travel time between clients is compensated at £12.75. Full-time and part-time contracts are available based on availability. Enjoy 28 days of paid holiday, which accrues as you work. Live-in care packages are also offered. Take advantage of our refer-a-friend bonus of £500.
