Job Overview

We are seeking a Care Worker Specialist to join our team at The Laurels, a renowned care home in Carlisle. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to older adults and individuals with dementia.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized support on an emotional and practical level, including personal care needs, household tasks, medication, diet, and nutrition
  • Encourage residents to engage in social activities within and outside the home
  • Foster warm and trusting relationships with service users
  • Perform general administrative duties and housing management tasks

This is a flexible Relief Support Worker position, ideal for those who want to balance work with personal commitments or study. The shift pattern includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Requirements

To be successful as a Relief Support Worker, you will need a minimum of 12 months' experience supporting older adults with dementia. Our Carlisle service is easily accessible by public transport.

You will have access to our free app, which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country and provides information on services and shifts. You will be paid weekly.
