Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team in Longtown, UK. This is a 9-12 month maternity cover position that offers a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in credit management.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for managing your own ledger, prioritizing tasks and meeting individual and team targets.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as you will interact with customers, head office departments, branches nationwide and external bodies.
  • You will be required to allocate payments accurately, resolve queries and raise credit notes according to company procedures.
  • Making informed credit limit decisions and maintaining up-to-date customer records will also be key aspects of this role.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of credit control, including familiarity with credit agencies and other information services.
  • Professional telephone manner and high degree of accuracy are essential.
  • Confidence using Excel spreadsheets and Outlook is necessary, with experience in SAP Business One being advantageous.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
