Cherington is seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join their team in Newbury. As a passionate advocate for education, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of secondary school students.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching English and be comfortable working with students aged 11-18. A deep understanding of curriculum requirements and assessment strategies is essential. If you have a QTS (with PGCE in Secondary English) and experience working in KS3-KS5, we would love to hear from you.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to secondary school students, creating engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Develop and implement curriculum content, ensuring alignment with national standards
  • Maintain accurate student records and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods

Requirements:

  • QTS (with PGCE in Secondary English)
  • Experience working in KS3-KS5
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
