Nuclear Engineering Consultant: Technical Expertise

Innovative solutions are required to assist clients across the UK nuclear sector in delivering projects efficiently and safely. As a Nuclear Power Technologies Specialist at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that involve developing new nuclear technologies, improving existing power stations, and decommissioning old plants.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality technical work, collaborating with clients to solve complex challenges, and ensuring project delivery. Additionally, you will be working on projects that span the entire nuclear sector, from designing and licensing new nuclear facilities to supporting safe operation of current power stations and facilitating safe defueling and decommissioning of nuclear sites.
This role is ideal for junior engineers or physicists with some experience in the nuclear sector or similar industries, particularly those with expertise in safety cases, Generic Design Assessment applications, ALARP assessments, and fault studies. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills in project management, mentoring, and writing compelling bids for new work.
Frazer-Nash Consultancy provides its employees with an attractive salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus schemes linked to company performance, company pension plans, share purchase options, targeted professional development, and paid membership fees to professional institutions.
