Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team, who will be responsible for leading procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships.
Location: Hybrid working model with flexibility to work from home
Salary Range: £36,095 - £46,589 per annum, depending on experience
The successful candidate will have experience in strategic procurement and be able to demonstrate success in managing supplier relationships. They will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive value and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive value and efficiency
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, value, and continuity of supply
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and influence decisions
- Conducting tendering processes and contract mobilisation
- Delivering supply chain management excellence, including supplier performance reviews and contract optimisation
- A full professional qualification (MCIPS) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable success in strategic procurement, preferably with public sector exposure
- A proven track record in contract tendering, supplier management, and delivering change
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong knowledge of public procurement frameworks, including FTS and Contracts Finder
