We are looking for a talented Mechanical Leadership Role at Monash University, supporting the delivery of high-quality products for our Formula 1 programmes.

About the Role

This challenging position involves leading quality engineering initiatives, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Mechanical Engineering or related fields and be able to apply their knowledge and skills in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £33,000pa, including a collective bonus, company lease car scheme, 36 days annual leave, access to private healthcare, and a generous pension scheme.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading quality engineering initiatives to drive process improvements and ensure on-time delivery of parts to specification.
  • Collaborating with engineering, purchasing, production, and inspection departments to resolve technical issues and improve quality performance.
  • Supporting new part design review processes to ensure current part quality performance, manufacturing challenges/capability, and previous component failure history are reviewed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Enrolled on a relevant Mechanical / Automotive / Mechatronics / Motorsport / Aeronautical Engineering or related degree on course for a 2:1 degree or higher.
  • A strong academic background in relevant A-Levels (Maths / Sciences) or equivalent disciplines.
  • An excellent understanding of engineering first principles.
