Database Architect

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

• Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL and other database technologies.
• Develop and maintain automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IT infrastructure requirements and devise solutions.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and other database technologies.
• Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Code versioning (git), JIRA, Ansible, Containers and Kubernetes (OpenShift).
• Experience with data migrations across different database technologies.
• Cloud experience, AWS, Azure, GCP.
