High-Tech Nuclear Configuration Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Engineer to join our Plant Integration team for the Hinkley Point C Project. In this pivotal role, you will provide top-notch engineering support to ensure the configuration and control of the HPC Nuclear Power Plant design, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
This position requires a proactive, independent individual with exceptional technical and organisational abilities, capable of coordinating complex configuration management processes and building strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
As a key member of our team, you will contribute to one of the UK's largest and most technically complex infrastructure projects, playing a crucial role in maintaining configuration control and supporting the delivery of the overall project schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact within HPC for configuration management, providing technical guidance on processes and ensuring effective implementation across the project.
- Lead contributions from HPC stakeholders, coordinating activities such as resolving Open Points, managing Design Changes, and progressing Technical Interface agreements.
- Oversee, support, and monitor configuration management activities to ensure seamless design handover and continuity within the project.
- Maintain strong working relationships across various levels, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
About You:
We are looking for a technically proficient individual with experience in configuration management, ideally within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated field. You will bring a structured, process-oriented approach and the ability to handle complex engineering requirements while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering or a related technical field (Chartered Engineer status preferred).
- Strong background in configuration management, with experience in the nuclear sector or similar regulated environments.
- Proficient in process development within engineering projects and quality control in nuclear construction.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM, and Nuclear Site License requirements.
