The Day-to-Day:

  • Working on rotating shifts, including Tuesdays to Fridays from 20:30 to 07:00

The Challenge:

  • Routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying any faults
  • Working on your own initiative to ensure cost-effective and safe repairs to an extremely high standard
  • Handling vehicles carefully and ensuring all precautions are taken in the workshop or customer premises
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations and company safe systems of work and processes are adhered to at all times
  • Staying up-to-date with all relevant DVSA and product developments
  • Participating in ongoing development and continuous improvement of the business
  • Supporting and mentoring our apprentices
  • Participating in site security requirements
  • Completing work as directed by the Shift Supervisor, Workshop Foreman, or Dealer Point Manager

Requirements:

  • A broad understanding of commercial vehicles
  • Experience in using R2C
  • An HGV and/or forklift truck licence (not essential)

We operate from six sites across the East Midlands and are proud to offer a range of services to our customers. As a Nightshift HGV Technician, you will be based at our Northampton site and will be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards.
