Role: Lead Platform Engineer

Location: Remote

Rate: £500 outside IR35

Clearance: DV (or SC willing to undergo DV).

We are seeking a Cloud Native Platform Lead to help us build the D2S Platform, a cloud-native Kubernetes environment for defence applications.

Key Responsibilities

The Cloud Native Platform Lead delivers and integrates software to form a complete DevOps toolchain. They are responsible for planning and designing large groups of stories.

  1. Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery.
  2. Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues.
  3. Ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable, and highly available.
  4. Have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems.
Knowledge of and Ability to Implement Solutions for:
  1. VMware / Similar virtualisation platforms.
  2. OpenShift / Kubernetes.
  3. Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
  4. Infoblox / DNS.
  5. TLS certificate management.
  6. Dell Data Domain / backups.
  7. Dell PowerScale / storage.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. ITIL Foundation.
  2. Cloud certifications, e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
